Kathi Huhtaluhta will be bringing the Southwest and the North together through her music performances October 13th, 2012 at the Tucson Meet Yourself and again November 8-11, 2012, at FinnFest USA (See www.2012FinnFestUSA.com ) to be held here in Tucson; For the first time in the history of FinnFest and in the history of Tucson. Kathi is a performer of world scope who was recently awarded the National Finlandia Award to travel and perform in The Kaustinen Music Festival, in Kaustinen, Finland at the most popular music festival in all of Scandinavia. Kathi lives in Tucson and has been performing with the Tuscon Meet Yourself and the Tucson Folk Festival almost every year. Her music is a unique experience combining Spanish Flemenco, Native American flute and Sami/Lapland chants with elements of music from around the world.
